The Mini-Triangle of 2026

There are generational phenomena rather than annual occurrences in the world of astrology. These typically involve the slower moving planets, as measured by their orbit around the Sun. The slowest being Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto whose orbits are Uranus (84 years), Neptune (165 years), and Pluto (248 years). At times, they come into a configuration known as mini grand trines or mini triangles. This consists of a trine (120 degrees of separation) between two of them and two sextiles (60 degrees of separation) from those same planets to an apex planet. We have been experiencing such a pattern between the three transpersonal planets beginning in 2022 and it will stay within what astrologers' call "orb" until 2029.

These configurations occur approximately once every few centuries and last for several years. This particular mini triangle is especially rare because it features Neptune at its apex, an event that happens only every 500 years. Elementally, this triangle will consist of two planets in Air signs, Uranus and Pluto Rx, and one in a Fire sign, Neptune Rx, on July 12, 2026. According to current research, the 2020s alignment is likely the first of its kind recorded in historical ephemeris records. Suffice it to say, it is considered "very special." With two of the three planets in Air signs, the focus seems to be on innovation and spiritual awakenings.

Examining past alignments for insights, we can identify two significant events: the US Declaration of Independence in the 1770s and the Golden Age of Greece during the 6th century BCE. It's important to note that these alignments often precede "structure-busting" events like empire falls, technological leaps, or ideological revolutions, with assimilation taking decades. No prior air/fire mini trine matches the current one's specificity; earlier ones were in water, earth, or mixed elements. Additionally, on July 12, 2026, the tightest alignment of the year, all three planets will be in the 4th degree of their respective signs within mere minutes of exactness, creating a well-known number in numerology circles, 444. Accordingly, 444 signifies divine support and protection. It signals that angels or the universe is providing a solid framework during challenges, urging persistence toward long-term goals.

As mentioned, a mini grand trine of the outer planets, in air and fire signs points to innovations and spiritual awakenings. It further signals a rare window of harmonious flow between innovation (Uranus), spirituality (Neptune), and transformation (Pluto), fueling collective paradigm shifts toward intellectual liberation and pioneering action. Said differently, Pluto in Aquarius represents collective evolution, Uranus in Gemini, radical ideas and communications, and Neptune in Aries inspired visions and identity. Let's now expand on what this alignment might bring by diving into the world of asteroids.

For those who may not be familiar with the world of asteroids in astrology, they are the new kids on the block. They can be powerful tools in astrological delineation that provide a deeper and more nuanced level of understanding. They can reveal that which otherwise might be hidden, show the role of key people in one's life, influences on our psyche that seem inexplicable, and even point to significant places we have lived or visited that have impacted our lives, and much more. There are currently over 1.2 million known asteroids with over 500,000 named asteroids now identified and tracked by various institutes and groups who do research in this area. Of those named asteroids there are currently 25,641 in use in various popular astrology software programs.

We are still very much in the experimental and exploratory stage with asteroids. So far, they have proven to be incredibly beneficial. The first thing an astrologer discovers when working with asteroids is that, unlike the traditional planets, they are interchangeable. Mercury is never Jupiter, and Venus is never Saturn, but asteroids seem to have a more adaptable role. For example, in my own work, I have found that even if something isn't an exact match with a name, if it is close or sounds similar, it often works just as well. In other words, some asteroids can have a dual nature, perhaps representing an island in one instance and a person in another. If you think about it, real life is similar, with some words meaning entirely different things depending on the context. Ultimately, working with asteroids seems to require a heightened role of intuition to discern the layers of messages.

What I am about to write is exploratory in nature. I am responding to some intuitive insights I received while examining the aforementioned mini grand trine expected to reach very tight aspect in July 2026. Anyone who has been even slightly attentive to popular news, whether through traditional channels or social media, is aware of the extensive discussion about our unknown history. This includes remarkable discoveries like Gobekli Tepe or recent reports of significant structures beneath the Egyptian Pyramids. All of this aligns with the phrase popularized by author and researcher Graham Hancock: "we are a species with amnesia".

As more and more comes to light, the collective psyche begins to expand its understanding of who we really are. One of most persistent stories of an ancient civilization lost is Atlantis. The story of Atlantis originates exclusively from the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, who introduced it in his dialogues Timaeus and Critias around 360 BCE. According to Wikipedia, Plato frames the tale as relayed by Critias, who claims it came from his ancestor Solon via Egyptian priests at Sais. The island empire, founded by Poseidon, allegedly existed 9,000 years before Solon (c. 9600 BCE), beyond the Pillars of Hercules, but sank due to earthquakes after moral decay and defeat by prehistoric Athens.

Later adding to the story was Edgar Cayce, known as the "Sleeping Prophet," who described Atlantis as a real advanced civilization in numerous psychic readings from the 1920s–1940s, originating around 50,000 BCE as thought-projections from higher realms that gradually materialized. In Cayce's writings he portrayed Atlanteans as initially spiritual "Children of the Law of One," using massive crystals (like the Tuaoi Stone) for energy, healing, flight, and communication. A schism arose with the materialistic "Sons of Belial," who abused crystal power for weapons and genetic experiments, causing three destructions: ~50,000 BCE (fire), ~28,000 BCE (earthquakes), and ~10,500 BCE (final flood).

Further, Cayce warned that we as a modern society are vulnerable to repeat Atlantean mistakes of greed and technology without ethics.

Reflecting on the recent increase in stories about our ancestry, ancient civilizations, and lost technologies, Atlantis came to mind as I pondered the potential revelations sparked by the rare alignment of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. I was curious about the position of the asteroid Atlantis in the chart depicting the moment when Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all at 4 degrees. Upon placing it in the chart, I noticed it was not only in the sign of Gemini but also closely aligned with Mars, which was also in Gemini. As I searched for its closest position on July 12th, I found that when Atlantis reached the 9th degree, aligning with Mars in Gemini at 9 degrees and 47 minutes, an intriguing possible interpretation emerged.

The sign of Gemini is most prominently known for its association with the dissemination of information, all things communications, and some lesser-known correlations such as crystals, debates, kindred relatives, messages, and messengers, stories, wireless, and writings. Esoteric traditions, influenced by figures like Edgar Cayce, portray the "Great Crystal" or "Tuaoi Stone" as a central artifact in Atlantis, harnessing cosmic and terrestrial energies for advanced technology and spiritual practices. Legends claim Atlanteans used crystals like quartz and emeralds for healing, longevity, and even telepathy, with emerald domes crowning cities. This might have been some earlier form of wireless communications of which we no longer have an understanding.

It is also important to note the positioning of Atlantis in the 9th house of this chart. In mundane astrology, the astrology of nations and the world, this is the house associated with all things distant and far away. Ironically, we have the name of a civilization that represents just that, something lost in time and now a distant memory. Further, in modern astrology, this is the place where we seek truth and cast a wide net in pursuit of the meaning of things. And there are other planets and asteroids involved at this same moment that are also a vital part of this.

Here is where the interchangeability of meaning and intuitive interpretation comes into the equation. Atlantis in this chart could literally be interpreted as THE Atlantis, or it could be symbolic of any number lost civilizations, past-life memories tied to myths, spiritual healing, or a hubris we possess leading to a downfall. Plato did make a point that Atlantis fell out of favor with the gods due to arrogance and corruption and was destroyed in a cataclysm (earthquakes and floods). All of these are reasonable associations with an asteroid named for Atlantis. My hope by even suggesting these interpretations is that we can come back later, six months or year after, and revisit this time frame to look at actual events that unfold to better clarify its ultimate meaning.

I have also cited that at the moment examined above; a Gemini Mars will be at the same degree as Atlantis. Mars gets things going, initiates something, and is brave and courageous. When in Gemini it's reasonable to assume these actions being associated with the dissemination of information, new communications being aggressively pursued, and a drive to data-mine accumulated understanding. This makes me wonder if we will see something come forth informationally in a forceful manner concerning a lost or ancient civilization at or around this period.

Adding to the plot, the asteroid DNA reveals itself as part of the story. Generally speaking, and as the name implies the asteroid DNA corresponds with our physical and spiritual genetics, ancestry, and roots. Being only 1 degree and 28 minutes away from Atlantis it seems to compliment a theme in this moment that combines information about a lost civilization with an understanding of our genetics and roots.

But wait, there's more. Also, co-present in the 9th house and part of the 444 mini triangle is a Gemini Uranus. The planet known for its connection to sudden events, disruption, and awakenings sits synchronistically 4 minutes and 44 seconds away from the asteroid Atlantis. Yes, that's 444 again.

In seeing this, I further mused about Plato. After all, he is the source of this story, although he indicated it came to him through his ancestor, Solon, who allegedly learned it from Egyptian priests during his travels around 590 BCE and passed it orally (and partially in poetry) through this family lineage to Plato himself. There is an asteroid named Plato and when placed in the chart above it falls in a very auspicious place, the 10th house.

This is the place of power and authority in a mundane astrology chart and in modern astrological terms the 10th house relates to how one contributes to the world at large and one's public status. Further Plato is conjunct the royal star Sirius separated by mere minutes. This is where things get interesting because Sirius in astrological terms is associated with brilliance, worldly success, fame, and guardianship. This aptly describes Plato, particularly in relation to Atlantis acting truly as a guardian of the story.

Checking further into the catalog of asteroids, and based on these early findings, I decided to include three more asteroids into this unfolding mystery that would have intrigued even Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Those were Messenger, Patria, and Dolphyn.

The asteroid Patria is correlated to the fatherland or one's true home. In the chart above it is located in 8th house in the sign of Taurus, an earth sign. Some fascinating yet rarely cited significations of Taurus is its connections to the Atlantic Ocean Basin, cultural centers and culture, emeralds, excavations, geology, Greek Archipelago, jewels, precious stones, rings, round things, and sculptures. Hopefully, you see what I see here. An asteroid connected to one's true fatherland or true home, being influenced by an archetype that has associations with the story I have been proposing. Atlantis was considered to be an extremely cultured society, famous for its rings, and having buildings that had emerald domes according to Cayce's visions.

The 8th house is a place of secrets, hidden matters, death, and legacies. In mundane astrology it is the place of death as well. Again, this seems to deepen the intrigue given we are talking about a lost civilization, in the house of secrets, hidden matters, and spiritual and mental regeneration.

Patria is in a square aspect to the asteroid, Messenger, domiciled in Leo, and residing in the 11th house. Messenger, as the name implies is connected to receiving and sending of messages. In the sign of Leo, one could reasonably conclude those messages likely are dramatic, bold, and attention grabbing. Being in the 11th house, Messenger resides in the place of group consciousness and in mundane astrology it is associated with governmental bodies such as House of Representatives in the United States. My intuitive interpretation is this tense aspect, a square, between Patria and Messenger represents an antagonistic energy that rises to the level of forcing information that is hidden concerning our true homeland coming forth in a dramatic fashion that in turn takes center stage in the collective's conscious. Perhaps this information emanates from the government in some manner.

This leads us to what some of you might be wondering is the reasoning behind including an asteroid named Dolphyn in this analysis. Dolphins spiritually symbolizes divine protection, bridge between worlds, higher “Christ” consciousness, intelligence, freedom and joy. Dolphins are also connected symbolically to Atlantis New Age sources describe dolphins as Atlantean healers from Sirius, telepathically sharing crystal wisdom, manifestation techniques, and high-vibrational knowledge in Atlantis' pools before retreating post-cataclysm to guide humanity's remnants. They embody Atlantis' lost harmony, oneness, and divine feminine energy, aiding soul awakening today.

When positioned in the chart, Dolphyn, similar to the illustration above, is ascending. This is a powerful position in an astrological chart, signifying an enhancement of the planet's (or this case asteroid) energy. Honestly, if I were to craft a fantastical story where I could choose its placement in the chart, I would have chosen this position for Dolphyn. Interestingly, I didn't need to, as it was already there.

But there's more, Dolphyn sits opposite the Aries Neptune apex point of the mini grand trine. It is part of a larger aspect pattern known as a kite shape, which is known as a configuration capable of channeling harmonious trine energy through tension for focused action. The mini grand trine provides the harmonious "sail" energy in this instance, while the opposition (Dolphyn) adds the "tail" tension for direction. This hybrid amplifies focus and breakthrough potential.

When viewed from this angle, Dolphyn not only plays a significant symbolic role because of its ascending position, but it also contributes positively to the rare mini grand trine in air and fire signs, occurring once every 500 years, with Neptune at its peak. This is considered positive due to its placement in Libra, a sign known for its relational, equitable, balanced, and justice-seeking qualities. Moreover, Dolphyn symbolizes divine protection and serves as a bridge between worlds.
