Coming in Hot🔥

Happy New Year! In ancient times, the Spring Equinox marked the start of the year. This was before Roman intervention, when Julius Caesar shifted the date to January 1 in 45 BC. This choice was linked to tax collection and elections. Now, 2070 years later, we celebrate with horns and fireworks every January 1st, unaware that we're commemorating taxes and politics. Quite ironic. Before this change, our ancestors would gather in the spring for festivals celebrating fertility, the triumph of light over darkness, and the renewal of everything. We were more in harmony with life's rhythm.

As such, astrologers have cast a chart since Hellenistic times around the 2nd century BC in order glean information as to what the new year may hold in store. There is a caveat to this though, depending upon what zodiacal sign is rising at the moment the Aries ingress chart (spring equinox) occurs determines the length of time the chart is influential. More on this in a moment. This branch of astrology is known as mundane astrology which applies astrological principles to world events, nations, and collectives rather than individuals.

Aries Ingress 2026 ~ Washington, DC

In traditional mundane astrology the first matter of business after casting an ingress chart is to examine the rising sign (ascendant) as well as the planet ruling that sign. Because as you can see from the above chart the sign that appears on the ascendant is Gemini at the time the Sun reaches 0 degrees of Aries and has no declination, this chart is considered to rule for 6 months. Being that Gemini is a Mercury ruled sign the chart ruler for this period is a Pisces Mercury domiciled in the 10th house. Why is this important? The ruler of a chart signifies the condition and fortunes of the people or populace of the nation during the chart's period of influence.

Let's then examine the condition of Mercury. Being in the sign of its detriment and fall we immediately have to consider this to be a debility. Additionally, Mercury is retrograde at the spring equinox, this is also considered a debility in astrology. What is a debility? It indicates a weakness meaning a planet in this state has a weaker or more negative influence than usual, and the aspects of human affairs it represents will share in the weakness or negativity. And one final factor impacting Mercury's debility is that it is in conjunction aspect with Mars, which is considered a malefic imbuing hostility to this combination albeit at an orb slightly greater than 5 degrees and separating so having a lesser impact.

What does Mercury represent in mundane astrology? It signifies primarily political meetings and debates. "It governs intellect and every activity in which intellect is concerned, whether great or small, honest or dishonest." according to mundane astrologer H.S. Green. Further, there is a connection to trade and commerce. Said differently, this planet relates to the talking heads, chattering classes, media figures, those publishing opinions. It also is related to transport methods and the educational system.

Further considering that Pisces Mercury Rx is positioned in the 10th house of the ingress chart we can conclude that weakness and negativity signaled by its debilitated status will impact the matters of this house as well as the ascendant where Gemini is on the cusp and the 5th house where Virgo is on the house cusp. This highlights three areas of the nation's affairs. The 10th house in mundane astrology is the executive branch of the national government, in this case the President of the United States and his cabinet. It is also representative of the power and authority of the government and nation as a whole. It also governs the power in authority at the time the chart is in effect. This is the place of reputation, credit, and power.

When Mercury is debilitated and in the 10th house it is expected that the executive branch, party in power, and the reputation of the nation in general will experience some difficulties, possible disgrace to public officials, and scandals in high places. What may be the spark for such developments is bad communications and information. This can further signify an executive branch or government that has become out of touch with the people. This sets up a potential situation where the laws, policies, and announcements coming from the government are ignored or rejected by the populace. Public debate likely reaches a feverish pitch. Trade could suffer as well. And adding to this prognostication is the fact that the traditional ruler of the 10th house in the above ingress chart is Saturn in Aries, which is in a condition known as Fall and thus also in debility.

One final observation concerning the 10th house is that its ruler, an Aries Saturn, forms a sextile to Pluto in Aquarius. Though there is some degree of debate of the inclusion of Pluto in a mundane chart I believe it can reveal additional insights. In this ingress chart the difficulties that seems to be inferred might also lead or point to an opportunity being brought into our awareness as a nation. Pluto represents the extremes and embodies transformative activities. It seems entirely possible that the difficulties mentioned in 10th house affairs open up an environment in which higher truth can prevail that impacts collective ideologies perhaps leading to a purging of outdated dogmas including those found in the laws, religion, higher education, and international affairs of the nation. New information being revealed that changes everything.

Pisces Mercury Rx is also the ruler of this ingress chart. This speaks to a period during which the general state of the nation, its people, and collective vitality is in a challenged environment. Further when the rising sign in an ingress chart is mutable the potential for affairs to experience rapid shifts, instability, and transient events is heightened. Couple this with element of air and the focus shifts back to Mercury type themes such as trade, diplomacy, media, transportation, legal disputes, and airy phenomena like wind or storms; it also emphasizes mental activity, alliances, and commerce over physical or emotional concerns.

Mercury also rules the affairs of the 5th house in this same chart, indicating challenges to sources of amusement, entertainment, and pleasure in the nation. Additionally, there is a connection to high society, matters associated with Royalty or upper classes. There is signification of the US Senate as well. And finally, matters around speculative finance and gambling are found in the 5th house. Again, with Mercury impacting these matters the expectation is that these areas will be subject to the same challenges weighing on the 10th house such as scandal, and public debate.

Without out a doubt, the main focus of the Aries ingress chart of 2026 is the Aries stellium in the 11th house. A stellium is a cluster of three or more planets gathered within the same zodiac sign or house in a chart. At this ingress, the planets Venus, Saturn, Neptune, and the Moon are in the sign of Aries. With Pisces on the cusp of the 11th house, we look to the positioning of Jupiter to find the planetary ruler of this house. Jupiter is in Cancer in the 2nd house. This is a very strong placement for Jupiter, the sign of its exaltation. Given that Jupiter does not rule Cancer, we must look further to see where the chain of rulership leads. Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which is domiciled in the ingress chart in 11th house in the sign of Aries. This leads us back to Aries where the moon is placed in the 11th house. This creates what is known in astrology as a loop, a Cancer Jupiter which is ruled by an Aries Moon which in turn loops back to a Pisces Mars.

For those who may not be familiar with the concept of a loop, here is a brief explanation. A loop creates an interdependent energy flow without a clear endpoint. In mundane charts, loops suggest balanced power-sharing among institutions (e.g., government branches in mutual reception), contrasting single final dispositors' centralized control. Looking specifically at this loop we see that Mars, Jupiter, and the Moon are fused thematically. A three-planet loop feels different than a two-planet mutual reception, more complex, perhaps requiring more juggling of competing needs. So, the pieces and parts involved are as follows. Mars in mundane astrology is correlated with soldiers, armed forces, police, and military leaders, as well as war, battles, and acts of hostility like terrorist attacks or civil unrest. Jupiter is associated anciently with religious bureaucracies but there are mundane astrologers today who believe it more closely aligns a nation's corporations and corporate culture. Finally, the Moon represents the people, women, children, it also has a connection with the sea and water, occupations associated with water, as well as crops and land.

Mars in Pisces has no essential dignity in traditional astrology and as such is considered peregrine. In the world of mundane astrology this counts as a debility. Given at the time this analysis of the Aries Ingress of 2026 is being written the United States has joined with Israel in a war against Iran. Mars looms large because of its correlation with war and conflict. Also, ominously, when Mars is domiciled in one of the angular houses 1,4,7, or 10 it is a classic warning sign in mundane astrology of danger or war. Additionally, Mars finds himself in a tight T-Square to the ascendent/descendant axis of this chart. Here we glean further insight as this represents the area of a nation's chart reflecting the nation vs. other nations. Diving deeper into the nature of Mars, being in Pisces, an added layer of interpretation can be gleaned. Planets positioned in mutable signs in mundane astrology are suggestive of events that will change and shift quickly. When also considering this is a water sign the topics surrounding all things water come into play as well as emotional matters and issues that people feel very sensitive and emotional about.

Currently, as of the time this is written, there are reports indicating that two aircraft carriers and 16 surface warships are deployed to the Middle East as of early March 2026. This is a significant naval operation and directly correlates with Mars being in Pisces. Given the debility of Mars being positioned here there exists the possibility of naval loss, troubles or disaster. Additionally, it's important to highlight that the planet linked with public debate, argument, the media, and the overall tone of the national conversation is in conjunction with Mars. This indicates the emotional nature of this debate (water sign) and the rapid changes in dialogue. Considering the previously mentioned weaknesses of Mercury—retrograde, detriment, and in fall—this suggests irregular, unstable, and out-of-sync times for the nation's mental state. In other words, military matters and war will dominate the national mindset during the period this chart is in effect, which lasts until the Autumnal Equinox beginning on September 23, 2026.

It's also interesting to note that this same Mercury is in a tight conjunction with the north node in Pisces, also in the 10th house. Here we see the potential for the events that are unfolding in 2026 that seem to be pulling us toward some destined evolution that involves a higher understanding, greater connection to our spiritual roots, as well as things that were hidden coming forth. All of this being a direct result of either wars, natural disasters, or political unrest that leads to highly emotional and difficult debates about who we are as a nation and who we want to become.

Turning our attention to the Moon, we find that it is domiciled in sign of Aries in the 11th house. The moon represents the people. Refining this definition, it is further suggested by various mundane astrologers that the moon is more closely related to the political classes who claim to speak for the people. This is often also directly correlated with upper 20% income earners in any given nation. The moon in Aries lacks any dignity and as such is considered peregrine, a debility in mundane astrology. When the moon resides in the 11th house of a mundane chart, it highlights this element of a nation's life and the area that is likely to receive particular focus. In this instance, the 11th house is all about government business, parliamentary procedures, specifically the laws and the processes by which they are passed or repealed. Given the moon's debility, it seems there exists a high potential for party dissensions, loss of power, or popularity directly associated with the House of Representatives or the country. Further this placement has been connected with the loss of friends abroad. This also marks a time when legislation is hindered or fails. Finally, given the moon's placement in a cardinal fire sign we could see violent, confrontational, and angry flare ups that stem from these 11th house developments.

Enhancing the narrative of the moon in this Aries Ingress chart is its conjunction with Venus in Aries, where Venus is in detriment. Typically, Venus is seen as a benefic planet, symbolizing good fortune and representing the women of a nation, including issues and legislation concerning women, such as the women's vote. This adds complexity to the moon's weakness and its subsequent indication of legislative difficulties. It suggests the frustration women may experience in the political arena, feeling unheard, misunderstood, and finding it challenging to navigate current governmental processes. In purely mundane terms, an afflicted Venus (being in detriment here) signifies a period of trouble for the national legislature, potentially leading to issues, losses, or scandals in parliamentary dealings related to financial matters, women's issues, political disagreements, and international relations. Additionally, significant societal problems may emerge that the government struggles to address. Compounding the challenging potential of Venus in this position is its dispositor, Mars in Pisces, which is also debilitated.

A Cancer Jupiter is also part of the dispositor chain composed of the Aries Moon and Pisces Mars. As cited earlier, this is a strong placement for Jupiter as it is the sign of exaltation. This is akin to being the king's honored guest. Usually this would indicate a "red carpet treatment" for Jupiter. However, there are other mitigating factors impacting Jupiter full expression. The first being that the ruler of the 2nd house, where this Cancer Jupiter is placed is an afflicted Aries Moon in the 11th house. Further this moon is in a conjunction with an Aries Venus, which in turn is square to Jupiter in Cancer. This is not helpful. In mundane astrology, Venus in detriment (conjunct a peregrine Aries Moon, which rules the 2nd house) square Jupiter (despite its exaltation) signals difficult economic affairs, excessive government expenditures, and public and private extravagance. Fraud and scandal emerge. Jupiter in Cancer can help soften the blow, but the weight of the evidence points to some struggles.

The analysis of this Spring 2026 mundane chart would be incomplete without considering the other two planetary bodies involved in the remarkable stellium located in the 11th house of the chart. On February 20, 2026, the world witnessed a significant astrological event: the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at 0 degrees of Aries. The last time a conjunction occurred at 0 Aries was in 4361 BC, indicating that it's been quite some time. In its purest form, this planetary alignment, which happens approximately every 36 years, symbolizes the clash between established rules and structures with idealistic visions of potential futures. At 0 degrees of Aries, the powerful symbolism must also be considered. In the Aries Ingress Chart, still within an acceptable orb of influence, there is a conjunction of Aries Saturn at 4:07 and Aries Neptune at 1:46, signifying a reset of issues in the realm of legislation and the collective aspirations of the populace.

Neptune is associated with mass phenomena in mundane astrology and reflects trends among people who feel excluded from decision-making processes. When its energies combine with Saturn, which is linked to practical individuals, those who take action, and those more involved in administration than lawmaking, there's a potential for the common people to initiate a revolt. Saturn is also connected to the land, farms, and their workers, as well as the older segment of a nation's population. It's important to note that Saturn is in its Fall in the sign of Aries, which means it can behave in irregular and exaggerated ways, becoming particularly disproportionate in this position.

There is much more that could be written about the Aries Ingress of 2026, a significant astrological event that promises to shape our collective experience in profound ways. I have attempted to address the more prominent attributes of the chart, yet the layers of meaning and implications are vast and deserving of deeper exploration. Much like the world astrology that is being extensively explored by astrologers who are diligently interpreting the cosmic influences of this incredibly auspicious year, this chart echoes similar themes of transformation and renewal. We are indeed in the midst of generational changes that are set to redefine our understanding of existence and the frameworks within which we operate.

A major reset of society, along with the beliefs and practices we have held onto for millennia, is on the horizon, suggesting a pivotal moment in our shared history. The potential for chaos does exist, make no mistake. Whenever dramatic change occurs, it is accompanied by a wave of fear, anger, and uncertainty. These emotions are natural responses to the upheaval that accompanies any significant transition. However, it’s crucial to remember that out of the ashes, the mythical Phoenix rises and takes flight anew. This powerful imagery serves as a reminder of the cyclical nature of life, where self-immolation is often followed by a rebirth from our own ashes. The Aries Ingress chart for 2026 is particularly heavy in cardinal fire, which signals a time ripe for initiating new ideas, embracing change, and exploring the imaginative realm with enthusiasm and hope. The energy of cardinal fire is dynamic and assertive, encouraging us to take bold steps forward. Things will be fast-moving and reactionary, requiring us to remain adaptable and resilient in the face of rapid developments.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, will be to stay grounded amidst the swirling currents of transformation. It is essential to anchor your daily life in activities that promote peace, calm, and compassion for yourself and others. This grounding practice will serve as a stabilizing force as we navigate through this whirling portal of transformation, enabling us to harness the energy of the Aries Ingress constructively. As we embark on this journey, it is vital to cultivate a sense of community and support, recognizing that we are all in this together. The connections we foster during this time can provide solace and strength, helping us to weather the storms of change. Embrace the opportunities for creativity and innovation that this period presents, allowing your passions to guide you. By doing so, we can collectively contribute to a new paradigm that honors the lessons of the past while embracing the possibilities of the future. Ultimately, the Aries Ingress of 2026 invites us to step into our power and co-create a reality that reflects our highest aspirations, transforming not only ourselves but also the world around us.
