Astrology is the science of finding the connection between those of us on the Earth and the Cosmos. It follows the patterns of movement by the planets and stars and assigns meanings to them that relate to human motivation and consciousness. A natal chart takes into account not only the Sun sign (what you get in the newspaper), but the placements of all the planets of our solar system and sometimes other celestial bodies as well in relation to your birth date, time and location. When all these variables are compiled a natal chart can be produced. A natal chart is a stylized map of the universe with you at the center. It is calculated for the exact time and location of your birth for the purposes of gaining insight into the your personality and potential.
